BBI Hearts Triangle AMA
POSTED ON 10 September 2010 BYWe haven’t said much in our blog about our involvement in the Triangle Chapter of the American Marketing Association, but we’ve found it’s a great way to interact with, contribute to and learn from the local marketing community.
Several of our employees have become members over the past two years and BBI became a Bronze Sponsor in 2009 and increased our sponsorship to the Silver level in 2010. Brooks spoke on maximizing customer acquisition under a tight budget at a luncheon, and I recently joined the Board of Directors as Treasurer.

We’re really excited to announce our next level of involvement… Naoshi Yamauchi, our very own Director of Analytics, has been selected as a speaker for the AMA’s “Proving Marketing’s Worth: The Marketing Analytics Training Camp” on October 20, 2010 in Durham. One of the biggest names in analytics will also be there: Avinash Kaushik, Google’s Analtyics Evangelist, is keynoting. Avinash’s blog, “Occam’s Razor,” is likely bookmarked by every web analyst and Avinash’s book Web Analytics 2.0 is next up on my reading list:
The Analytics Training Camp speaker list also has experts from NC State’s Institute for Advanced Analytics, CapStrat, McKinney, Argyle Social, SAS and IBM. Topics include testing and optimization, creating performance dashboards and measuring the impact of offline media and social media.
